I finally swung by this place and it’s honestly the exact kind of "no-stress" vibe you want when you’re hanging out near the water. I’m usually skeptical of spots right on the beach being tourist traps, but this place feels way more like a local hangout.
CUTEST CAFE EVERRRRR. Must visit if you’re in the area! Super reasonable pricing for the area, but you really wanna go for the vibe. Little fountains and tons of foliage. It is SO cute inside. Server was super nice and gave solid recommendations. Mimosa flight was great, my picks were not too sweet! If you like mac and cheese, 10000000% recommend. Wish I got some pics of the inside but I guess you’ll have to trust me and see for yourself! Really short walk to the beach, but keep in mind it is all downhill so you’ll need to trek uphill to get back to main streets.
The staff was so warm and friendly. Welcoming in a way that was genuine and not forced, phony, or insincere. They were all approachable, smiling, and gregarious, speaking with everyone yet still on point taking care of the customers.
This place was so cute and the food was good! Definitely give their cucumber and lime drink a try!! It's fresh squeezed juice and has mint too! The best drink I ever had.
First time and definitely returning, such a peaceful vibe and great food, I had the Manhattan sandwich with added arugula and it was perfect. Also had the eggs Benedict and that was cooked to perfection, also the pancakes are a must have! The coffee flight was a great way to start!! And the fresh squeezed lemonade was delicious! Definitely have to go and try more off the menu! If you drive by this place and never stop you should!!
We just had a 6 hr work training event and I was in charge of boxed lunches. I heard about Sloopy’s infamous sandwiches and I have to say it did not disappoint (making me the lunch hero, of course). Almost everyone ordered the Phoenix Turkey Breast sandwich with mix of sides (salad, coleslaw, French fries), and I had the mother nature sandwich. The sandwich portion was well beyond filling, and the ingredients were super fresh and tasty. I would definitely order again and hopefully sit down in the beautiful atmosphere I’ve heard so much about. Thank you to the wonderful staff for being so accommodating and friendly. 10 out of 10. Really great for group lunches!
One of the best burgers I've ever had down here at the beach, the service is probably normally pretty good but his mother's day and they were a little crowded little hard to get certain things, I think they should probably have larger portions of things like mayonnaise and mustard that they have out where you can get or help yourself because they get busy and don't have time to get them to you. But everybody seemed to really enjoy their food in the atmosphere was nice.
After years of walking and driving by, we finally stopped into Sloopy’s Beach Café—and now it’s going into our regular rotation.
Absolutely love this gem! I brought my friends here and they absolutely love it! The staff is amazing and the food is delicious! They have fun mimosa flights flavors to choose from. All the flora inside is a wonderful touch. Definitely a must visit whenever I’m in Manhattan beach.
Went here on rainy day. The interior combined with the coffee was perfect setup for connecting with a friend after 6 months and catching up on all we could.
